Post - 485 Visa Application Fees Are Increasing Here’s Why You Should Apply Now! (2).png

If you’re considering applying for the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa, time is of the essence. The Australian Government has quietly announced changes that will impact the cost of applying for this visa.

The Migration Amendment (Temporary Graduate Visa Application Charge) Regulations 2024 confirms a 15% increase in application fees, effective 1 February 2025. This means the primary applicant fee will rise from $1,945 to $2,235.

Fee Increases for Additional Applicants

The price hike doesn’t just affect primary applicants; it also applies to dependents included in your application. The updated fees are as follows:

  • Additional Applicant (18+): $1,115
  • Additional Applicant (Under 18): $560

For families applying together, these increases could substantially raise the total cost of your application.

Why Apply Before February 2025?

Submitting your application before the fee increase takes effect can save you hundreds of dollars. Early preparation and submission also ensure your application is processed under the current fee structure, giving you peace of mind during this critical step in your migration journey.
