Haven’t got enough points to apply for permanent residence through the Skilled Independent subclass 189 visa now that the competition is high?
State sponsorship gives additional points for people wanting to apply for residency in Australia Interested in living and working in a particular state to be sponsored through the Skilled Nominated subclass 190 or 489 visa program.
State sponsorship = more points and you can skip the general 189 queue!
Different states have different requirements for each occupation and with Queensland just opening, competition is high! The sooner you can book in for a meeting, the sooner we can help you through the process!
In addition to meeting the specific visa requirements with the Department of Home Affairs, when applying for 190 State Sponsorship each state has particular criteria in order to meet their sponsorship requirements.
Depending on the occupation additional work experience criteria may apply as well as some occupations now require additional points (i.e. Computing professionals in some cases 70 points +).
Queensland state sponsorship has 4 different lists to choose from:
- Working in Queensland
- Offshore candidates
- Masters in Queensland graduates
- PHD in Queensland graduates
You can see the different occupations on offer by clicking the link here.
Just having an occupation on the list is not enough. As with all skilled migration, candidates need to have a skills assessment and the sooner you can start the process, the better. Book an appointment with our migration team to get started.
