Partner Visa Australia
Spouse or partner visa
What do I need to apply?
Usually, to be successful in your application, you will need to have met certain key criteria:
- Be sponsored by an Australian Citizen or permanent resident
- Be in a genuine relationship
- Meet the health and character criteria
What is a genuine relationship?
By immigration standards, this means that you are in a committed, ongoing and authentic relationship to the exclusion of all others.
How do I prove my relationship?
If you are not married to your partner, one of the key things you will need to show is that you and your partner have been living together for at least twelve months.
If you are married or have registered the relationship, you will need to provide evidence of your relationship. The twelve-month period can sometimes be waived in this case.
There is a standard set of documents that you must provide but there are also documents which are specific to each individual case.
What can we do for you?
At EMSA, we assess each individuals situation.
Our job is to help you to identify and provide these documents to immigration.
We provide tailor-made strategic guidance to make sure you have the best possible chances for Permanent Residence while making the journey an enjoyable one!
