Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA)

QAGOMA is located in South Bank along the beautiful Brisbane River and is home to Australia’s best contemporary art.

It holds hundreds of amazing Australian and International exhibitions every year and has over 17,000 pieces of historical, modern and contemporary art.

Spend the day strolling through the galleries, learning all about the different cultures in the world, have a nice meal at one of their many cafes and restaurants, or pick up a souvenir from the Gift Shop.

Queensland Museum and Science Centre

Queensland Museum is home to some of the most interesting historic pieces and has the most amazing exhibitions.

Each of these tells the story of the Australia and how it has changed over time.

The Museum opened 20 years ago, and since then has welcomed more than 10 Million visitors!

It is located in Brisbane’s Cultural Hub in South Bank, the museum is a short walk from the QAGOMA, public transport, the City and of course the mighty Brisbane River

New Years Eve Celebrations

Brisbane loves to bring in the New Year with a BANG!

Every year Brisbane hosts one of Australia’s most amazing firework shows.

The main event is held in South Bank, with fireworks going off right along the river.

With great music, food trucks, outdoor movie showings and 2 fireworks shows (8:30 pm and the big one at midnight) it is sure to be in the incredible evening.

Different clubs, bars and restaurants will be holding events to celebrate the New Year, and Portside Wharf will also have fireworks display over the river!
